Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System seeks a Supervisory Social Worker to lead the Caregiver Support Program (CSP), including PCAFC and PGCSS, and supervise the Caregiver Support Coordinators.

You will coordinate education, outreach, and program operations to support Veterans and family caregivers. Role requires advanced social work practice, licensure, and leadership to ensure quality care and collaborative interdisciplinary work across the VA

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified to independently practice social work at the master's level.
• One year of experience equivalent to GS-11 in advanced practice or administration.
• Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Caregiver Support Program staff (CSC, PSA) and other interprofessional staff.
• Develop and oversee CSP direction, orientation, coaching, and staff development.
• Oversee daily CSP operations and respond to inquiries and outreach requests.
• Lead data-driven quality improvement with goals and outcomes.
• Coordinate education for Veterans, caregivers, and staff on practice guidelines.
