TEEMA GROUP is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support elderly adults in a center-based, on-site setting in San Jose, California. You will assist with daily activities and work as part of a collaborative care team to preserve dignity and independence.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to follow care plans, with potential for bilingual communication depending on patient needs. Training and compliance with safety and infection protocols will be provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide meal preparation, feeding assistance, light housekeeping, and laundry.
• Escort patients and provide assistance according to individual care plans.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Document care accurately using simple electronic or paper forms.
• Follow proper body mechanics, safety procedures, and infection prevention practices.
• Engage patients in conversation and activities while communicating respectfully with families and staff.

• Minimum one year of experience caring for elderly or frail individuals.
• Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Basic conversational and written English.
• Flexibility to provide care in center-based and home-based settings as assigned.
• Bilingual skills may be required depending on the patient population.
• Must be at least 18 when working in a licensed adult day program.
• CNA/HHA and BLS/CPR requirements will be confirmed during screening.

Preferred

• Experience in home care and adult day or center-based care.
• Experience mentoring or training caregivers.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform active caregiving duties, including standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance. Must be able to wear required PPE.
