Job summary

Community First Solutions is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support residents in daily activities with dignity and respect. The role emphasizes patient, attentive care and teamwork in a mission‑driven environment.

The position offers a starting wage of $16 per hour with room for experience-based advancement, and opportunities for training and tuition assistance across the Hamilton, Mason, Dayton area.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older, or high school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in activities of daily living as needed (bathing, grooming, hygiene, transportation to meals/activities, etc.).
• Provides resident comfort and safety; transports residents and responds to call lights promptly.
• Maintains resident dignity, privacy, safety and confidentiality.
• Assists residents in bed and wheelchair transfers using proper techniques.
• Supports Engagement staff in planned activities.
• Completes forms, reports, logs, and records electronically.
• Follows universal precautions and safety policies; protects residents and staff.
• Maintains knowledge through ongoing education and certifications as required.
• Keeps environment safe and secure and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Starting at $16.00 an hour and up. Pay is based on professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in their activities of daily living tasks as needed and directed. This could include bathing, grooming, personal and dental hygiene, transportation to meals and activities, bowel and bladder functions (e.g., take to bathroom, portable commode, change incontinency products, etc.), shaving dressing, hair care, and laundry talks. All tasks and duties as described or documented in the resident’s service plan.
• Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; Transporting residents; answering residents call lights in a timely manner; reporting observations of the resident to the nursing supervisor when appropriate.
• Responds to resident’s needs promptly while maintaining each resident’s self‑respect, personal dignity, personal safety and confidentiality.
• Assists resident in and out of bed and wheelchair as needed, following safe lifting/transferring techniques.
• Assists Engagement staff in carrying out planned activities.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records electronically.
• Uses universal precautions and follows established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Serves and protects the community by adhering to professional standards, community policies and procedures, state and local requirements.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in education opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations and maintaining certification/licensure.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.
• Adheres to all mandated reporting requirements and communicates concerns to person in charge.
• All other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position.
