Job summary

Rocky Mountain Assisted Living in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for PM shift to support seniors with daily living activities.

You will follow individualized care plans, document care, and participate in orientation and training. Benefits include medical/dental/vision for eligible staff, PTO, paid sick time, daily pay, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Sympathetic attitude toward elderly care.
• Willing to obtain QMAP certification.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions.
• Age 18 or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of elderly or disability care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living per care plan.
• Engage residents with person-centered care.
• Follow RMAL Policies and Resident Rights.
• Adhere to safety and food handling practices.
• Perform housekeeping to keep the home clean.
• Attend orientation, training, and in-service programs as scheduled.
• Document 24-hour logs and MAR before leaving shift.
• Complete other tasks as directed by House Manager or Wellness Director.

• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the elderly




• Must have or be willing to get QMAP




• Ability to carry our written and verbal directions and to read and write




• 18 years of age or older




• High School Diploma or GED




• At least 1-year experience providing care to the elderly or persons with disabilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living in accordance with the Resident’s Care Plan and RMAL Policies and Procedures.




• Engage residents with person center care




• Understand, adheres to, and promote RMAL Policies and Procedures.




• Understands adheres to, and promotes Resident Rights




• Performs housekeeping duties throughout the home. Ensures the home is clean and tidy at all times.




• Participates in all required orientation, training, competency, and in-service programs as scheduled and necessary per RMAL Policy.
  




• Documents in the 24-hour communication log, activity log, and MAR prior to leaving every shift in a professional and objective manner.




• Adheres to safe food practices while preparing scheduled meals.




• Performs other tasks instructed by House Manager and/or Wellness Director and in accordance with the Residents and RMAL Policies and Procedures.
