Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Topeka, Kansas is seeking a Private Duty Companion to help seniors live safely and happily at home. Earn competitive pay, with 1:1 client ratios and the freedom to set your own schedule.

You will participate in activities, provide personal care, and support daily living tasks while building skills through online training and CEUs. Join a company with over 50 years of national presence and a local family culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid Kansas driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways

As a Private Duty Companion, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
