Wallick Communities is seeking a Personal Care Assistant for Oakleaf Village Columbus, 5500 Karl Road, Columbus, OH. 1st shift, 7am-3pm, part-time, pay $16/hour plus shift differential.

You will provide direct resident care in a supportive, resident-focused community and work as part of a team to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life. Responsibilities include personal care, hygiene, mobility assistance, responding to calls, assisting in activities, and moving residents as needed.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification is required; Nurse Aide certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions; strong communication with residents, families and team.

Responsabilidades

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provide physical resident care including bathing and toileting.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident/family needs.
• Encourage resident involvement in activities.
• Assist residents to and from activities, dining, and events.
• Assist with lifting, turning, and repositioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Our exceptional PCAs provide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning by helping them thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose. You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming to include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’s and / or family needs.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Organized and self-motivated to do a great job for our residents
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
