Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is hiring a Home Care Aide/Personal Care Aide (PCA) for Reno, NV. Immediate hire with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Position focuses on in-home care for seniors, with 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for online CEUs. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, mobility, medication reminders, and documenting client status for supervisors. High school diploma and 6 months of healthcare experience required.

• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Compassionate and good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support services to seniors living in home care settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and transportation.
• Provide medication reminders and report any concerns to a supervisor.
• Help ensure a safe environment and encourage client activities.

As a Home Care Aide/Personal Care Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide personal care and support services to seniors living in an independent/assisted living facility.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation and transferring.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.

A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Personal Care Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role
• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen
• Valid NV driver license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
