Job summary

Wallick Senior Living in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Caregiver for the Meadow Valley Senior Living community. This full-time night shift (11pm–7am) pays $20/hour plus shift differential, with a path to growth and benefits.

You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities, administer medications as prescribed, and help residents stay active and engaged. Join a supportive, employee-owned team focused on quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • First aid training completed.
  • Experience in an assisted living setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication with residents, families, and coworkers.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant license is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and daily assistance to residents.
  • Assist with activities, dining, and mobility.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and per protocols.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
  • Support resident involvement in activities and events.
  • Assist with transfers and repositioning as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
  • Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Administer medications, as prescribed, and under the guidelines of Medication administration & protocols.
  • Answers call lights in a timely manner and responds accordingly to the resident’s needs.
  • Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
  • Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
  • Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Should be organized and self-motivated.
  • Completion of first aide training program.
  • Previous experience in an assisted living facility a plus.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, residents, and family members.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant License a plus, not required
