Job summary

Wallick Senior Living in Columbus, OH is seeking a Personal Care Assistant / Caregiver for Oakleaf Village. The role provides direct resident care, supports daily living activities, and ensures a safe, comfortable home for residents during the 3pm–11pm shift.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to participate in community activities.

What You’ll Do

Our exceptional PCAsprovide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning byhelpingthem thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose. You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming to include bathing and toileting.

• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’s and / or family needs.

• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.

• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.

• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required

• Organized and self-motivated to do a great job for our residents

• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.

• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members and peers.

• Ability to read and interpret work instructions

• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
