Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a client in the Freeport area. This role emphasizes building meaningful connections and a consistent weekday morning schedule with dementia experience.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, providing companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments while maintaining a warm, professional demeanor. Morning and afternoon shifts are available on weekdays.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of professional or personal experience in home care, caregiving, or related field (Required)
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation (Required)
• Must be at least 18 years old (Required)
• Negative results of either a 2-Step TB Test or TB QuantiFERON Gold Blood Test (Required)
• Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing assistance is a plus.

• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities

• Monitor clients' overall well-being and report any concerns
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times
