CNA PROGRAM

Cedarbrook recognizes the benefits of investing in staff development and advancement. In keeping with these objectives, Cedarbrook has partnered with an established C.N.A. training center. To be eligible for the CNA program, you must be employed with Cedarbrook for at least 90 days and be in good standing. Cedarbrook covers all costs related to the program and pays employees at their established hourly rate for time spent in the course. Staff who successfully complete their C.N.A. certification will be eligible for any hourly pay differentials being offered to C.N.A.s at the community. If selected for this position, please speak with your immediate supervisor for further information on the program.

Caregiver Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
  • Assist residents to and from dining areas and help with meals.
  • Encourage and support residents in participating in activities.
  • Listen to residents' concerns and report observations promptly to the Director.
  • Participate in in-service training to develop skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, setting a good example for residents and staff.
  • Follow all personnel policies, community policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Implement fire safety and disaster preparedness plans during drills and emergencies.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Health care or nurse’s aide training, with a 100-hour nurse’s aide training preferred.
  • One year of nurse’s aide experience preferred.
