Job summary

Resthaven is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults with compassion and dignity. This part-time role offers first, second, and third shift options in Holland, Michigan, with a pay range of $16.00–$17.67 per hour based on experience and licensure.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and community involvement, including tuition reimbursement and on-site clinic access.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or successful completion of GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, ambulation, transfers and positioning while maintaining privacy, comfort and dignity.
• Administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Monitor, document and report changes in resident’s condition to the clinical support team.
• Respond promptly to the notification system signaled by the resident.
• Perform light housekeeping and assist with serving meals, snacks and beverages.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to residents, families and coworkers.

Pay Range

• $16.00 - $17.67
  • Pay is based on experience and applicable licensure.

Employment Type & Schedule

• Part-Time
  • 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
  • 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
  • 3rd Shift (11:00 AM - 7:30 AM)

• Utilize the resident service plan and resident story to provide personalized and appropriate care for each resident.
• Assist with personal care, ambulation, transfers, and positioning as needed while maintaining the privacy, comfort and dignity of each resident.
• Respond promptly to the notification system signaled by the resident.
• Administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Monitor, document and report changes in the resident’s condition to the clinical support team.
• Monitor, intervene and report unsafe conditions and document incidents and or accidents when they occur.
• Report any actual or suspected waste, fraud or abuse to the Director and/or designee immediately.
• Perform light housekeeping duties and assist with serving meals, snacks and beverages.
• Communicate openly and honestly at all levels and work as a cohesive team to create and maintain an environment in which everyone can thrive.
• Engages residents in unplanned and planned activities supporting resident’s psychosocial well-being.
• Provide excellent customer service, support and encouragement to residents, families, coworkers and other customers through the Resthaven Way culture.
• Attend and participate in orientation programs, on-going training and educational classes.
• Follow established safety precautions, infection control protocols and maintain privacy and confidentiality as required by Resthaven’s Corporate Compliance program.
• Follow established smoking regulations and report violations.
• Completes incident reports and related paperwork a necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and/or requested by the resident.
