Job summary

Sevita in California is seeking a Direct Support Professional Mobile to provide community-based transportation and daily living assistance. You may assist with meals, medication administration, and guiding developmental goals.

Responsibilities include supporting individuals with budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational duties, as well as personal care tasks and behavior support. This role offers flexible schedules to a broad community served by Sevita.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with insurance proof.
• Successful clearance of background checks.

• Transport and support in the community: outings, medical appointments, and shopping.
• Assist with daily living skills including meals and medication administration.
• Guide developmental goals such as community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational support.
• Support living skills like personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
• Help individuals redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Transportation and support out in the community: outings/field trips, medical appointments, and shopping
• Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and assist with medication administration
• Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilities
• Support persons served with living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, and/or bathing and toileting
• Assist individuals we serve to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors
