Job summary

Clarendale of Algonquin in Algonquin, IL is seeking a Quality of Life Specialist/Resident Assistant to provide compassionate personal care, assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals, and respond to call lights and emergencies. This part-time role offers meaningful daily interactions with residents in a senior living setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• One (1) year experience working as a CNA preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs) per policy
• Assist residents with mealtime, cut food, encourage to eat
• Complete and document shift assignments; report if unable to complete to nursing supervisor
• Communicate with residents, families, Department Heads and Director of Resident Services as needed
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner

• Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
• Communicate to residents, families, Department Heads and the Director of Resident Services when needed.
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.
