Griswold Home Care for Chevy Chase is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as overnight Caregivers. Compensation is $21/hour with shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8pm to 8am.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license is required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from shifts is required.
• 2+ years of home care experience is preferred; training is provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate non-medical elderly care and home companionship.
• Assist with activities of daily living and meal preparation.
• Complete shift documentation and communicate client needs to the office.
• Provide care on overnight shifts (Friday–Sunday, 8pm–8am).
• Support clients with daily living activities, dementia care as needed.

Your life as a caregiver

This companionship and caregiving position offers flexible hours and opportunities to assist seniors on night shifts, Friday through Sunday.

As a Caregiver, you have the rewarding job of helping seniors live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You competently provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation. With the client’s dignity always at the forefront of your mind, you help them maintain proper personal hygiene. You are gentle and professional as you aid them with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding. At times, you provide companionship to clients who have dementia or cognitive impairments. Your kind and patient demeanor serves you well as you ensure they receive the highest quality of elderly care.

You carefully complete documentation for each shift, submitting timely updates. Committed to providing consistent elderly care, you communicate routinely with the office about the condition and needs of your clients. You feel good about helping seniors enjoy their golden years, and you are glad you chose a career in the caregiving industry.

What we need from you

• Current CNA License
• CPR/First Aid Certifcation
• Reliable transportation

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. 2+ years of home care experience would be a plus; caring for a loved one counts! We are willing to train you.
