Job summary

WACO TX ARBOR HOUSE LP in Waco, TX, is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support residents across assisted living, nursing, memory care and home settings. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and provide companionship to enhance quality of life.

The role requires experience in senior care, dementia care knowledge, and strong communication. CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable; you’ll work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a caring, team-focused

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior care or home & community care.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care.
• CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and compassionate caregiving skills.
• Ability to work across all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
• Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols.
• Provide companionship and social engagement to promote mental well-being.
• Support residents with dementia through memory care techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment with light housekeeping in resident areas.
• Document care activities accurately using EMR systems and communicate with healthcare teams.
• Support residents during outings or appointments by driving or assisting with transportation arrangements when qualified.
