Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver in San Jose to provide hands-on care to seniors in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. You will work with a collaborative care team to assist residents with daily activities while building meaningful relationships that enhance comfort, wellbeing, and quality of life.

The role requires assisting residents with activities of daily living, promoting socialization, documenting care, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Experience as a primary caregiver or relevant training as a care provider.
• Must be able to effectively use company issued electronic devices such as tablets, smartphones, and laptops for job-related tasks.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.
• Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of applicable post-offer pre-employment screenings, which may include a job-related background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB testing, consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and support to seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and daily activities.
• Document and maintain accurate records of daily care and services provided and report changes to supervisors.
• Uphold high standards of care, safety, cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
• Provide hands-on assistance with toileting, hygiene and incontinence care as needed.
• Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction priorities in interactions.

About The Role

Your Typical Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living to an assigned group of senior residents living in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community
• Promote socialization and inspire participation in community activities while prioritizing resident safety and well-being
• Document and maintain accurate records of daily care and services provided and promptly report any observed changes to supervisors
• Uphold high standards of care, safety, cleanliness and regulatory compliance
• Provide hands-on assistance with toileting, hygiene and incontinence care as needed
