Job summary

Apex Companion Care in Orange Park is seeking PRN Caregivers to provide personal care and support with daily living activities in clients’ homes. You will assist with bathing, grooming, meal prep, and accompany clients to appointments while maintaining confidentiality and using EVV.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license with vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation, and the ability to work flexible hours.

As a home-based Caregiver, you will provide support, assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home. We are hiring PRN Caregivers for multiple shifts in Orange Park and the surrounding areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs

Required Qualifications:

• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

State-Specific Requirement:

• FL: Successful completion of at least forty hours of training in areas required by the Agency for Health Care Administration OR successfully passed the home health aide competency test (Form AHCA 3110-1007 created by AHCA).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of experience in home care
• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified clients’ needs
