Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a home-based Caregiver to support an individual with daily living activities, hygiene, and household tasks, enabling them to remain in their own home. The role emphasizes compassionate care and confidentiality, with EVV documentation.

Qualifications

• Current drivers license with vehicle insurance and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• BLS certification required.
• State-specific: FL 40-hour AHCA training or competency test (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, medication reminders).
• Support household tasks, meal prep, and accompany clients to appointments or errands.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment and respond to client needs promptly.
• Demonstrate respect for clients regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.

As a home-based Caregiver, you will provide support, assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home. We are hiring PRN Caregivers for multiple shifts in Palatka and the surrounding areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Required Qualification:

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit
• BLS certification

State-Specific Requirements

• FL: 40-hour AHCA-required training or passing AHCA competency test

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently

The hourly pay for this role will range from $13 to $20 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
