Job summary

GoldLeaf Homecare Network is hiring compassionate caregivers and personal assistants for elderly or disabled individuals. Roles available across Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, San Jose, and Santa Clara with flexible AM/PM/Weekend shifts.

You will provide 1:1 care at clients’ homes, including personal care, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship. Training, orientation, and growth into leadership are offered.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• English communication skills required
• Applicable work or volunteer experience in care
• Experience with elderly or disabled individuals preferred
• CNA/LVN/MA or caregiving experience preferred
• Experience with dementia or neurodiverse care is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist with transfers
• Compassionate, dependable, and observant

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 support for elderly or adults with developmental disabilities, focusing on exercise, companionship, and social interaction
• Provide personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and mobility support
• Assist with meal preparation, including special diets and feeding assistance
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishes) within time limits
• Drive or accompany clients to shopping, appointments, and social activities
• Provide medication reminders and health monitoring
• Offer companionship and social interaction
• Track participant goals, progress and milestones with accurate records
• Transport participants safely to doctor appointments or errands

Responsibilities

Personalized Support

• Deliver dedicated 1:1 support for the elderly or adults with developmental disabilities, with a focus on exercise, companionship or social interaction

Daily Living Assistance

• Personal Care Assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting;

• Mobility Assistance including ambulation, wheelchair, and transfers.

• Meal preparation including special diets, supervising and assisting the client with eating and drinking

• Light housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, laundry/linen changes and dishes (restricted to only 15min per hour max);

• Driving and/or escorting clients to shopping, errands, socialization activities, and/or doctor’s appointments;

• Medication reminders

• Companionship and socialization.

Progress Tracking and Documentation

• Track and document participant goals, progress, and milestones, maintaining accurate, timely, and complete records.

Transportation

• Report daily on progress; transport participants safely to doctors appointments or errands if needed.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or the elderly

• CNA, LVN, MA, or prior caregiving/personal assistant experience preferred
