Job summary

Independent Home Health is hiring dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical care to individuals in their homes around Selinsgrove and surrounding communities.

You’ll build a relationship with the person you’re supporting, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home. No professional caregiving experience is required, and flexible scheduling is available in Northumberland, PA.

Qualifications

• No professional caregiving experience required.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and ability to complete background checks.
• Commitment to compassionate in-home care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Support mobility and daily activities.
• Prepare meals and assist with errands as needed.
• Complete light housekeeping and documentation of services.
• Provide companionship and meaningful interaction.
• Follow the individual’s care plan and ensure safety.

What You’ll Do

Depending on the needs of the individual you’re supporting, you may:

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming


• Help with mobility and everyday activities


• Prepare meals


• Complete light housekeeping


• Provide companionship and conversation


• Assist with errands or appointments when needed


• Follow the individual’s care plan


• Document the services you provide

What We’re Looking For

You must:

• Be 18 years of age or older


• Have a valid driver’s license


• Have reliable transportation


• Be able to complete required background checks


• Be dependable, caring and patient

Previous caregiving experience is welcome, but it is not required.

Experience as a caregiver, direct care worker, personal care aide, home health aide, PCA, HHA or CNA is a plus.
