POSITION OVERVIEW

Job Summary

The Resident Care Associate (RCA) is responsible for providing general non-certified routine services in accordance with established procedures and may be directed by supervisors.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assists with housekeeping and laundry services, including trash removal and making/changing unoccupied beds.
• Assists with meal service, including transportation of residents, tray delivery, and ensuring a quality dining experience.
• Answers resident call lights promptly and checks residents unable to call for help frequently.
• Assists with 1:1 observations as assigned.
• Maintains communication with Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse regarding resident condition changes, concerns, and grievances.
• Provides excellent customer service, companionship, communication, and engagement in activities.
• Assists clinical staff to ensure resident comfort (e.g., sitting position, hydration).
• Assists with personal care responsibilities according to state regulatory guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
