Job summary

Executive Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers in St. Ann to provide companionship, light meal prep and light housekeeping. This role offers flexible scheduling and 12- to 20-hour weeks with a minimum of 4 hours per day. Training and development opportunities are provided, along with PPE and uniforms.

You will support clients with ADLs, offer medication reminders, and help with mobility, transportation, and wellness monitoring in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene; mobility transfers and ambulation.
• Provide medication reminders and support medication routines.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation per dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and social interaction; accompany to appointments and activities.
• Monitor health and report changes to care team; document care provided.

We have immediate need for a caregiver in St. Ann to provide companionship, light meal prep, light housekeeping and occasional transpiration to doctors appointments and the grocery store. 12-20 hours per week, 4 hours minimum per day.

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):
  • Provide support with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Medication Reminders:
  • Provide reminders for medication according to prescribed schedules.
  • Support clients in managing their medication routines.
• Meal Preparation and Nutrition:
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation, adhering to dietary requirements.
  • Monitor and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Companionship and Social Interaction:
  • Engage clients in meaningful conversations and companionship.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social activities.
• Health Monitoring:
  • Observe and report changes in clients' health status to the care team.
  • Document care provided and any notable observations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a caregiver or similar role preferred
• Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively within a team
