Job summary

Continuum of St. Louis is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a female client in her home. The role emphasizes dignity, independence, and quality of life, with mobility, communication, and safety needs addressed through patient, respectful care.

You will build meaningful relationships, provide companionship, assist with meals, reminders for medications, light housekeeping, and safe transfers while promoting client comfort and independence.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred.
• Experience with mobility impairments or communication challenges a plus.

• Able to follow care plans and document changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement throughout the shift.
• Assist with meal preparation and encouragement during mealtimes
• Provide medication reminders according to the care plan
• Perform light housekeeping
• Offer standby assistance and support with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety
• Utilize the client's communication tools and techniques to support effective communication
• Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition, mobility, or overall well-being

Client's Requested Caregiver Schedule:

• Monday: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM

• Tuesday: 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM

• Wednesday: 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM

• Thursday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• Friday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

• Saturday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement throughout the shift

• Able to remain attentive and safety-focused throughout the shift

• Comfortable providing physical assistance with standing, ambulation, and balance support

• Reliable transportation
