Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living is seeking a caregiver for a memory care unit at Avamere at Sherwood in Sherwood, OR. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring resident safety.

Wage ranges from $18.58 to $24.24 per hour depending on experience, with full-time and part-time swing or day shifts available. CPR/First Aid certification and a Food Handler's Card are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in memory care or an assisted living facility preferred.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Provide mobility assistance and support transfers.
• Assist with meal setup, food prep, and tray removal.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Monitor residents' health, report concerns to staff, and support safety.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
