Fairhaven Denton is hiring a Caregiver/Med Tech to enhance residents' quality of life with hands-on care and medical support. Work with healthcare professionals in a warm environment that values dignity and independence.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with every other weekend off, shifts available, and opportunities for PRN care. Competitive wage starts at $14.50 per hour, with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k, and PTO.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or a GED.
• You must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Experience with the elderly preferred but not required
• Must complete orientation and training before attending residents, and must complete continuing education hours annually
• Effectively communicate in English with residents and other employees
• Demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability
• Basic computer skills required
• Push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rounds to check on resident needs
• Support residents with activities of daily living in accordance with their care plans, promoting independence and well-being.
• Light housekeeping of resident rooms and clean-up of spills
• Assist getting residents to/from dining room for meals
• Serve meals to residents in dining room and/or their private rooms
• Follow nursing service policies and procedures
• Maintain a positive attitude when talking with residents and co-workers
• Regular attendance is required
• Must have desire to be team player
• Medication Administration (Med Techs only) Follow all OSHA, Fire, Health Department and safety requirements

This Full Time position is 40 hours per week with every other weekend off. We have several shifts available. Also looking for PRN Caregivers. We offer a competitive wage starting at $14.50 per hour.
