Job description

Visiting Angels is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver will provide physical care and emotional support to clients who may be unable to care for themselves.

The ideal candidate should care for clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. Empathy and encouragement are essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Home assistance: Provide light housekeeping, run errands, transport clients, accompany them to appointments, assist with medication reminders, prepare meals, and support with daily living needs such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
2. Companionship: Offer companionship and conversation, stimulating and encouraging clients, and providing emotional support.

Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to complete a Criminal Background check.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Capability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Experience caring for seniors and/or disabled adults, professionally or personally.
• Reliability and professionalism are crucial.
• Must enjoy assisting others.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's is a plus.
• LNA/CNA certification is a plus.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for clocking in/out and documentation.
