Job description

Visiting Angels is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver will provide physical care and emotional support to clients who may be unable to care for themselves.

The ideal candidate will treat clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect, maintaining empathy at all times.

Responsibilities:

1. Home Assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands, transport clients, accompany them to appointments, and assist with medication reminders. Prepare meals and offer personal assistance with daily living needs, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
2. Companionship – Offer companionship and conversation, encouraging and assisting clients as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred
• Ability to complete a Criminal Background check
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Capability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Experience caring for seniors or disabled adults, professionally or personally
• Reliability and professionalism are essential
• Must enjoy helping others
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance
• Dementia/Alzheimer’s experience is a plus
• LNA/CNA certification is a plus
• Comfortable using a smartphone to clock in/out and document activities
