Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care of Newnan GA is seeking caregivers to provide compassionate in-home care. You will support clients with daily activities, offer companionship, and ensure safety in their homes in Jasper/Pickens and surrounding counties.

The role requires 1-2 years of professional caregiving experience and a valid CNA/PCA certification. Shifts range 4–8 hours with daily pay options and paid training available.

Qualifications

• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or PCA (Personal Care Aide) PCA certification, Home Helpers issue
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• No prior felony or reoccurring misdemeanor convictions
• Multi state background check
• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• Minimum of 2 year clean driving record
• Current TB Test (must be less than 30 days old)

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and grooming
• Provide medication reminders according to prescribed schedules
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
• Assist clients with mobility and transfer, including use of lifting systems if required
• Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
• Maintain accurate documentation of client care and any changes in condition

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Job involves performing tasks under the direction of Lead Field Supervisor in client's residence which is mostly client or family member's home. Residence may include homes, senior living, clinical settings, rehabs, and hospital as well. Caregiver Position requires adhering to procedures and standards involving a high degree of accuracy in observing, recording and reporting. Moderately to heavy activity, may include but not limited to lifting, constant stooping and walking.

Good communication skills required with clients, their families, Home Helpers office, Field Supervisors and other employees.

Possess the ability to enable a safe, effective environment, health promotion and maintenance, verbal communication, listening, training, dependability, emotional control, medical teamwork for clients.

• Shift: To be Determined; Shifts Available Weekdays, Evenings, and Weekends available.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
