Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate CAREgivers to provide in-home support to seniors in Cheraw, SC. You will offer personal care, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship to enhance independence and dignity.

We provide flexible schedules, competitive pay up to $16/hour, benefits, and onboarding support through client care coordinators.

Qualifications

• 6 months caregiving experience preferred (family experience counts)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Heart for caring and a positive attitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility

Responsibilities

• Personal support: daily grooming, hygiene, and toileting support
• Safe mobility: transfers and positioning, including hoyer lifts and gait belts
• Homemaking & meal prep: light housekeeping, laundry, and cooking
• Engagement & care: companionship, medication reminders, dementia care
• Reliable support for clients: errands and transportation as needed

Your Role as a CAREgiver:

• Personal Support: Help with daily grooming, hygiene, and toileting needs
• Safe Mobility: Assist with movement and transfers (including hoyer lifts and gait belts)
• Homemaking & Meal Prep: Create a safe, clean home environment with light housekeeping, laundry, and cooking
• Engagement & Care: Provide companionship, medication reminders, and specialized care for dementia clients
• Reliable Support for Clients: Run errands, provide transportation, and more

What We Need from You as a Caregiver:

• Heart for Caring: Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
• Experience: 6 months of caregiving experience preferred (family experience counts!)
• Reliability: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Physical Strength: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform necessary movements
