Job summary

Right at Home is seeking Weekend Day Shift CNAs and Personal Care Assistants to serve our senior and disabled client population in Corpus Christi, TX. You’ll receive PPE, competitive pay, and benefits as part of a fast-growing international home care network with over 25 years of experience.

You’ll perform personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, medication reminders, and companionship. Training is provided; weekly pay and mileage reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
• Perform housekeeping tasks (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishes, etc.).
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany client to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal care.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with range of motion exercises.
• Dementia care and companionship activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
