Job summary

Nurse Next Door in Placerville, CA is hiring for part-time Caregivers to support seniors at home, including those with memory issues. You will help with personal care, mobility, meals, and medication reminders, offering compassionate, reliable assistance in a home setting.

This role features flexible hours, paid training, 1.5x overtime/holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for growth. You will work close to home with a supportive team and PPE provided as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Evidence of tuberculosis testing.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene (skin, mouth, hair care, bathing, dressing).
• Assisting clients in and out of bed, transfers, positioning and ambulation.
• Assisting with exercises to meet client needs.
• Meal planning and preparation and assisting with eating.
• Assisting clients to the bathroom or with incontinence care.
• Reporting changes in client condition to the administrator.
• Completing records regarding services performed.
• Participating in entry-level and annual training requirements.

Compensation: $19-$21/hour

Responsibilities & Duties

• Assisting clients with medications which are ordinarily self-administered;

• Participating in all required entry-level and annual training requirements.


• Maintaining an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca. Dept. of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.


• 1 Year Caregiving Experience (preferred)


• Completion of a criminal background check


• Evidence of tuberculosis testing and verification that the caregiver does not have active tuberculosis.


• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.


• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.


• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and/or reliable transportation.


• HCA (Preferred)
