Nurse Next Door is hiring Caregivers to serve veterans in Penn Valley, CA. We provide flexible, premium care options to help seniors stay at home, supported by a 24/7 caregiver support team.

Position is part-time with competitive wages. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship, with paid training and mileage reimbursement available.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1 year caregiving experience preferred.
• Completion of a criminal background check.
• Tuberculosis testing verified no active TB.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Driver's license and auto insurance or reliable transportation.
• HCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene (skin, mouth, hair care, bathing, dressing).
• Assist clients in and out of bed, transfers, positioning, ambulation.
• Assist with exercises as appropriate to client needs.
• Meal planning and preparation, assist with eating.
• Assist with bathroom needs and incontinence care.
• Provide companionship and light household tasks.
• Assist with medications ordinarily self-administered.
• Report changes to administrator; complete service records.
• Participate in entry-level and annual training; maintain home care aide registration.

Compensation: $19 - $21 per hour

Responsibilities & Duties

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing and dressing;
• Assisting clients in and out of bed, transfers, positioning and assisting with ambulation;
• Assisting with exercises as appropriate to meet the client’s needs;
• Meal planning and preparation, and assisting clients with eating;
• Assisting clients to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans or urinals and incontinence care;
• Companionship & performing household services including light housekeeping, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries;
• Assisting clients with medications which are ordinarily self-administered;
• Reporting changes in the client’s condition and needs to the administrator; and
• Completing records regarding services performed.
• Participating in all required entry-level and annual training requirements.
• Maintaining an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca. Dept. of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1 Year Caregiving Experience (preferred)
• Completion of a criminal background check
• Evidence of tuberculosis testing and verification that the caregiver does not have active tuberculosis.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance and/or reliable transportation.
• HCA (Preferred)
