Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Suburban Metrolina in Rock Hill, SC is hiring an Home Health Aide (HHA) / PCA to provide personal care and homemaker services per a care plan, supporting the client to remain at home. Schedule Monday through Friday from 3:30PM to 9:30PM; applicant must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.

The client is mostly nonverbal, may use sign language or pictures, and presents behavioral challenges.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• You must have some experience with autistic children who are not high functioning.

Responsibilities

• Monday Through Friday from 3:30PM to 9:30PM
• Assist with toileting, bathing, grooming, doing some of his laundry, cleaning messes, preparing meals and cleaning it after school, assistance with meal preparation, and some transferring depending on frequent behavioral issues
• Requires constant supervision and care
• Client is mostly non verbal but is able to communicate using some words, sign language pointing and pictures.
• Client rides the bus to school and potential caregiver would need to be at residence with valid identification to receive client from the bus
• You must have some experience with autistic children who are not high functioning.
