Description:

Caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs providing custodial and personal care services to clients of Assisting Hands The Villages under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator in accordance with the Plan of Care. Training is provided.

Qualifications:

One (1) year experience as a caregiver in the home or long-term care setting is preferred but not required. Industry certifications and background checks are required.

Primary Duties:

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the client's residence, including light cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, sleeping and living areas, washing dishes or laundry, and other tasks to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Performing personal care activities as outlined in the Plan of Care, such as assisting with personal hygiene, ambulation, exercise, eating, dressing, shaving, physical transfers, and other duties as assigned.
• Reporting any changes in the client’s condition.

1. Assisting the client with the self-administration of medication and storage.
2. Performing other activities necessary for the specific client as trained.

Abides by all policies and procedures outlined in the agency’s Policy and Procedure Manual, Caregiver Handbook, and Caregiver Training Manual.

Hours:

Dependent on assignment; available 24/7 based on availability. Hours are not guaranteed.
