Position Summary:

Chrysalis is a company providing support services for at-risk adults and juveniles with developmental and intellectual disabilities, often with medical issues. The role requires working in stress-filled, safety-sensitive environments, following approved programs, making crucial care decisions, and communicating effectively. The position aims to help individuals gain independence, embodying Chrysalis values: Respect, Safety, Fun, Mentoring, and Accountability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Punctuality and consistent attendance are required to ensure proper oversight of individuals.
• Stay alert, responsive, and communicate effectively with individuals.
• Teach daily living skills and plan appropriate activities.
• Create opportunities to enhance quality of life.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
• Implement Person Centered Support Plans and Behavioral Plans.
• Supervise individuals according to guidelines and support their choices.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Complete administrative tasks and documentation within established time frames.
• Maintain communication with the manager regarding individual needs.
• Follow the Provider Code of Conduct and abuse/neglect policies per state standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Pass and maintain a criminal background check and LEIE per state regulations.
• Pass required drug tests.
• Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good public relations skills, especially with families.
• Ability to communicate effectively with medical, professional, and state personnel.
• Good judgment and crisis management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Service-oriented attitude.
