Special Needs Caregiver for a Sweet 21-Year-Old Girl

We are seeking a compassionate caregiver for Menna, a 21-year-old girl with developmental delays. This role offers occasional overnight shifts during the summer when both parents are out of town.

Salary/Wage Range: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour

Number of Positions: 1

Position Summary and Job Duties:

Menna has the developmental level of a 1-2-year-old. She is non-verbal and requires assistance with dressing, bathing, toileting, and walking with a walker. She enjoys being around people and has a calm, friendly demeanor. Responsibilities include feeding, assisting with physical therapy and mobility exercises, diapering when necessary, and helping with bath and dressing during evening and overnight shifts. Creative engagement through crafts and play is encouraged.

Flexible hours are available, including:

  • Weekdays from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Anytime on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Overnight shifts occasionally during the summer when parents are away

Menna lives near the UW campus (off Monroe Street near Edgewood College), accessible by bike or bus. She is vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.

Compensation: $15-20 per hour, depending on experience

Physical Demands:
