Objective:

Caregivers work independently in client homes or healthcare facilities, providing personal care to patients. They typically travel to a client’s home to assist with basic domestic tasks like cleaning and activities of daily living such as bathing, as well as providing companionship and emotional support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide clients with companionship, socialization, and mental stimulation
• Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, and activities
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Assist with transfers and ambulation
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare and cook meals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's
• Empathy and the ability to address the client’s social, emotional, physical, and mental needs
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Physical ability to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds safely
• Ability to occasionally push/pull objects up to 50 pounds and bend/kneel to complete activities
• Physical strength and stamina

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current HCA certification (Preferred)
• Driver’s license (Preferred)
