Village Caregiving in Dayton, Ohio is actively seeking Home Health Caregivers with serving hearts to support residents of Springfield and surrounding areas. Part-time and PRN opportunities are available, with potential for full-time, plus bonuses and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience or a STNA License.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.
• Adherence to health and safety standards.
• Housekeeping and cooking with dietary awareness.
• Respectful, compassionate bedside manner and strong communication.
• Good time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance for task completion.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (appointments, walks).
• Assist with personal care and hygiene including bathing and toileting.
• Support clients with physical therapy and exercises.
• Do shopping or accompany clients to shops as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Report unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene including bathing and toileting
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience or a STNA License
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
