Job summary

Village Caregiving in Dayton, Ohio is seeking Home Health Caregivers to serve Bellefontaine, Ohio and nearby areas.

Part-time and PRN opportunities exist with potential for full-time. Bonuses and Daily Pay are available to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver or STNA license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and dietary considerations.
• Must be respectful with good bedside manner.
• Strong communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene including bathing and toileting.
• Help clients with physical therapy exercises as advised.
• Shop for clients or accompany them on errands.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Report unusual incidents promptly.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene including bathing and toileting

• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises

• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed

• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals

• Report any unusual incidents

• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience or a STNA License

• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification preferred but not required

• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints

• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner

• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills

• Physical endurance to complete required tasks

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid Driver's License
