Job summary

Home Instead Williamsport is seeking caring caregivers to support aging adults in their homes. You will build relationships, provide companionship, assist with daily tasks, and help clients stay safe and engaged in their community.

We offer flexible schedules, training, and opportunities to grow professionally. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour with merit increases and bonuses, across Williamsport and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance.
• Complete a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs or more.

• Remind about medications and appointments.
• Care for clients with Alzheimer’s and other needs.

As a caregiver at Home Instead Williamsport, you'll build relationships, improve the quality of life and serve elderly in need of love and care. Your compassionand diligence as a caregiver will bring joy into the lives of the clients you work with and help them feel encouraged, involved and loved. Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate Caregiver (we call ours Care Professionals) to become a part of our team and join our mission of expanding the world’s capacity to care. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adultsto remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Alzheimer’s Care
• Ability to treat and care for aging adultsand their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner
• Possess a valid driver’s license, valid auto insurance and reliable vehicle (required for driving clients)
