Job Description for Caregiver at Comfort Keepers

Now looking for both part-time and full-time caregivers. Comfort Keepers caregivers travel to clients’ homes to provide care services and living assistance. Ask about our FREE CNA classes.

Responsibilities:

• Light housekeeping: cleaning bathrooms, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage, etc.
• Meal planning, cooking, and baking
• Conversation and companionship
• Interactive Caregiving
• Errands and transportation
• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Hands-on personal cares: dressing, grooming, incontinence, hygiene
• Mobility assistance: transfer tools/equipment
• Medication assistance
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care
• End of life care
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed
• Provide electronic documentation of shifts and cares

Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age
• Reliable transportation and personal vehicle required
• Valid Driver's License and 3 years of driving experience
• Clean driving record and proof of auto insurance with your name listed as an authorized driver
• High School Diploma or GED
• State and Federal background check and fingerprinting
• Ability to assist both male and female clients with personal cares
• Lift 50 pounds safely
• Excellent attendance and job retention history
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Positive references, professional image, and excellent communication skills
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
