Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist a male client in Greensburg for afternoon shifts, Monday through Thursday. The role involves mobility support, companionship, and help maintaining a safe home environment.

The client’s wife provides cues and supervision during personal care, and teamwork with the wife is essential. Ideal candidates have 3–6 months in home care or related fields, a valid driver’s license, and at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of professional or personal experience in home care, caregiving, or related field.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Negative TB test result (2-Step TB or Quantiferon Gold).
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a passion for helping others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, and mobility support.
• Provide companionship and engage the client in meaningful conversation and activities.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Offer transportation and accompany to appointments, outings, or social events.
• Monitor overall well-being and report concerns.
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times.

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable caregiver to assist a male client in Greensburg for afternoon shifts, Monday through Thursday. The client uses a walker and has poor balance, so the caregiver will provide assistance with mobility and help maintain a safe environment. He also experiences occasional confusion, requiring someone who is very patient, attentive, and comfortable providing companionship and reassurance. His wife is involved in his care and supervises and provides cues during his personal care routine. The caregiver will assist with his needs while working alongside his wife to ensure he receives safe and appropriate support.
