Opportunities Unlimited LLC in the United States is seeking a Caregiver/DSP to support individuals in home and community settings. You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, meal planning, light housekeeping, and coordinate schedules while promoting independence and safety.

This role does not involve hands-on physical care such as lifting or bathing; training is provided, schedules are flexible, and benefits may follow after probation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in caregiving or home support preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
• DSP-specific certifications may be required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, tidying, organizing).
• Support scheduling and reminders for appointments and daily routines.
• Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, or social outings (if required).
• Encourage participation in community events and social groups.
• Help clients access community resources and services (libraries, clubs, volunteer opportunities).
• Monitor and report changes in health to family or healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of care and activities.
• Advocate for clients’ needs and independence.
• Implement individualized care plans and track progress toward goals.

Employment Type: Full-time and part-time available, Flexible schedule

Pay Range: $18–$20/hour for candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience; $20–$22/hour for candidates with 3+ years of relevant experience. Pay is distributed monthly.

Position Summary

A Caregiver/Direct Support Professional (DSP) in at-home and community services provides essential support to individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living, companionship, household management, and community engagement. The role is designed to promote independence, safety, and well-being in the comfort of the client’s home, while also facilitating participation in community activities and social networks. This position does not include hands-on physical care such as lifting or bathing.
