RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional in Wilmington. You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges in community and home settings.

The role involves advocacy, coaching, and helping people achieve their personal goals while following the Centered Plan. You will wear many hats as part of a care team, assisting with daily living, transportation, and community activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required/preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Promote healthy living and prevent illness and accidents.
• Accompany people to work, the movies, concerts, shopping, and other community outings.
• Teach independent living skills and provide transportation to appointments.
• Foster positive relationships within the community and support personal choice.
• Assist with personal care and activities around the home.
• Document the care provided and maintain accurate records.
• Provide education on human, legal, and civil rights; advocate as needed.
• Connect individuals with resources to explore opportunities in career and education.
