Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health/substance use needs in the community.

You will wear many hats as a caregiver and care team member—advocate, coach, personal assistant, and role model—while helping clients identify goals and live their best lives in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required (if transportation duties apply).
• Conflicts resolution and communication skills essential.
• Some computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote healthy living and assist with daily living activities.
• Accompany individuals to work, appointments and community outings.
• Teach independent living skills and support decision-making.
• Provide transportation to appointments when needed.
• Foster positive relationships and advocate for services.
• Document the care provided and maintain confidentiality.
• Connect individuals with resources to support education, career, volunteering, etc.
• Assist with personal care and home duties as required.
