Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live more independently.

We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for advancement. DSPs build positive relationships, monitor health and safety, maintain documentation, and collaborate with families and case managers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs; lifting may be required.
• Experience with disabilities not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities (meal prep, hygiene, household tasks).
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication; encourage independence.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $16.00-17.00/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus – Southport

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You'll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference in somebody's life. Responsibilities will include:

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communicationEncourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

• Starting Pay: $-/hour
• $1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
