RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional in Aberdeen, NC to assist individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities, mental health and substance use challenges. You will help with daily activities, safety procedures, and community life, working closely with a supportive team.

The role requires driving when needed, a valid license, and a high school diploma, with on‑the‑job training including CPR and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly, 70 lbs minimum, 50 lbs pull; ability to squat, kneel, crawl, climb, and stand.
• Hands-on use of tools and objects; good vision in all directions.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain; work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.

We are hiring a positive and personable individual to support people with intellectual & developmental disabilities, as well as those facing mental health and substance use challenges.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with Health and Safety Procedures
• Assist with People Supported Development
• Assist with Person Supported Community Life
• Provide support to team members and supervisors
• Assist with person‑centered plan and outcomes
• Assist with medical requests
• Assist with data collection and reporting

Position Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Physical ability to lift 30 lbs regularly, lift a minimum of 70 lbs, pull 50 lbs, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stop.
• Regular use of hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Proficiency in CPR (floor level) and ability to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.
• Good vision—close, distance and peripheral.
• Pre‑employment screening: criminal background check, OIG exclusions, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities; drug testing; education verification; proof of employment history or references.
• For positions requiring driving, proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance and vehicle (if required for transportation).

Schedule

Multiple shifts available, covering all days of the week (Monday–Sunday). Shift and schedule may vary by location.
