Job summary

BrightStar Care of St. Croix Valley is seeking compassionate Caregivers, CNAs, or HHAs for day shifts in Hugo, MN. Join a team dedicated to providing one-on-one in-home care and helping clients maintain independence with dignity.

You will assist with activities of daily living, prepare meals, provide transportation, and report changes to the nursing team. Current CNA/HHA certification and CPR are preferred; a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities.
• Monitor changes and report to nursing director.
• Maintain client dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

As a Caregiver, CNA, or Home Health Aide, you will:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and safety supervision
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to the Director of Nursing
• Follow individualized care plans while promoting client dignity, independence, and quality of life
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred
• Caregiving experience preferred; we welcome compassionate individuals with relevant experience
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed (up to 50 pounds)
• Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality
