Requirements

• Homemakers must physically be able to assist with dressing, feeding, hair care, mouth care, shaving (electric or safety razor only), nail care (excluding nail trimming), positioning, toileting, and transfers.
• Able to push and pull a client weighing at least 100 pounds.
• Able to lift a client weighing at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to move in tight spaces, between objects and furniture.
• Ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, squatting, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, twisting, sitting, reaching at, below, and over shoulder limits.
• Able to perform physical functions continuously for up to an hour without rest.

Other Requirements

• Must be an active member of the Family Care Safety Registry.
• Two references required.
• Pass all background checks upon hire and throughout employment.
• Complete training.
• Must have vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
• Flexible to work in different client homes routinely.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate weekly with the branch office.
